“FeelFocus” – 3D Printed Lens Enhancement

I designed and 3D printed this lens enhancement which allows the videographer to ease between different focal distances by feeling markers on the lens attachment.

This is used when filming video where there is a need to constantly change focus, such as when filming dancers.  For example the user can set a feel-able marker that can be felt coming into position that has the perfect focus for a full body shot, and a different feel-able marker for a head and shoulders shot. The videographer can feel the marker coming into alignment under their fingers as they ease into each preset focal distance. 

The two interlocking rotating parts of the 3D print are printed interlocked, so the moving parts come pre-assembled.
